What Work is Taking Place?
Mining excavation works continue at the secondary entrance of Avenue Station, with crews operating between Eastbourne Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard. As part of these works, crews are required to break away the temporary inner walls of the cavern, to finalize the station structure.
Inner wall demolition will resume as early as Wednesday, April 1, 2020 and will occur 24 hours a day for approximately one (1) week. Periodic chipping and removal of concrete can be expected, while this work takes place. Read more »
What Work is Taking Place?
On Thursday, March 26, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour at the main entrance of Avenue Station. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. To safely carry out the works, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance. The pour will begin at 6:00 a.m. and take approximately twelve (12) hours to complete. After the pour is complete, the lane will re-open. Read more »
