What work is starting?
What: Crews will be installing ground movement monitoring equipment.
Why: Monitoring equipment will provide information on the ground conditions during excavation and tunnelling activities to the construction team. Read more »

What: A cross passage is a tunnel cut between two other parallel tunnels required for maintenance or emergency purposes. Crews will be building one headwall for the future cross-passage required for future maintenance of the tunnels. Read more »

The City of Toronto’s Solid Waste Management Services division is responsible for collecting, transporting, processing, composting and disposing of municipal and private sector solid waste and recyclables, as well as household hazardous waste. Read more »
What is the Crosstown?
The Eglinton Crosstown is a 19 kilometre light rail transit line that will run along Eglinton Avenue through the heart of Toronto, with an underground central section. The line will connect Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Road in the east, and the new service will be up to 60% faster than the bus service today.
