What work is Taking Place?
In fall 2016, crews began relocation of overhead hydro utilities in the vicinity of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West to prepare for construction of Forest Hill Station. In May 2017, hydro vault utility work will continue, but within the existing construction staging. Planned hydro outages are not required for this activity. Read more »

What Work is Taking Place
Beginning in late April 2017, crews will start support of excavation work, also known as shoring, at the Secondary Entrance of the future Forest Hill Station. The Secondary Entrance is located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, west of Bathurst Street, mid-block. Read more »
On April 3, 2017, crews will begin subsurface utility engineering (SUE) investigation of a large 900mm watermain in the Eglinton Avenue West and Chaplin Crescent area. The watermain will be exposed to determine the utility and ground conditions in advance of wet utilities relocation. Most of the work will take place within the existing traffic staging at Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West. Read more »
Beginning in early to mid-November, and pending permit approval, crews will start support of excavation work, also known as shoring, at the future Forest Hill Station. The station is located at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West, with the main station entrance on the northeast corner and the secondary entrance located mid-block on the northwest corner. Steel piles as well as braces and tie-backs will be installed around the perimeter of the station box and entrances to support excavation. Read more »
TTC bus route #33 is temporarily changing to accommodate upcoming construction of the future Forest Hill Station at Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West. In order to accommodate station construction, several turn restrictions will be in place at the intersection. As a result, TTC bus route #33 must be re-routed. The bus will be diverted along Mayfair Avenue to Shallmar Boulevard beginning in early November. Read more »
