To prepare for the construction of the surface section and future road widening, beginning as early as late-March 2018, crews will relocate and upgrade existing overhead hydro utilities between Brentcliffe Rd and Leslie Street. Existing overhead and underground infrastructure will be relocated for construction and staging purposes.
Outages will be required to switch services to the new infrastructure. Outage requirements and impacts will be communicated separately only to those directly impacted. Read more »
As our constructors get ready to ramp up construction activity at the surface section of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project, clearing, grubbing, and pruning and protection activity continues as part of preparatory work. This activity commenced two years ago and is done on an ongoing, as-needed basis to support the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project (ECLRT). Crews will be pouring concrete on an ongoing basis throughout 2018 to continue building the foundation and roof slabs for the Brentcliffe Portal. Work will be conducted within the existing work zone located on Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street.
