UPDATE: Overnight Concrete Pour at Fairbank Station - February 8, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

On Friday, February 8, crews will perform a large concrete pour at the Main Entrance area of Fairbank Station. The concrete will form the concourse level of the Main Entrance.  Concrete pumps will be placed in the work zone and one on Vaughan Road, and concrete trucks will queue in the southbound lane of Dufferin Street between Eglinton Avenue West and Hunter Street.  Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place, though traffic delays can be expected. Revised: Massey Creek Culvert Work Begins

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works to build the LRT system along Eglinton Avenue East, crews will be replacing the existing culvert at Massey Creek. Work began as early as late February 2019 and will last for approximately nine (9) months. The creek is located at the signalized intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Rosemount Drive. Updated: Hydro Utility Relocation between Birchmount Road to Kennedy Road

What Work is Taking Place?

In support of construction of the future Crosstown Light Rail Transit, crews will continue relocation and upgrading of existing overhead and underground utilities between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Road. Work began in June of 2017 and will continue for another six (6) months. Read more »

Starting as soon as February 4th, an assessment of the existing dewatering system will take place at the Cross Passage site between Lillian Street and Redpath Avenue. Assessment works will take approximately five (5) days. Following the assessment the dewatering system will be recommissioned and will operate on a 24 hour basis. Periodic maintenance will be required.

Overnight Storm Sewer Connection Work at Brownlow Ave January 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

On January 30, crews will return to Brownlow Ave and Eglinton Ave to connect to the new storm sewer system installed last year.  Concrete will be removed so that crews can access the manhole below ground.  From there, concrete chipping and reforming will take place allowing the crews to connect to the new storm sewer infrastructure.  This work will be performed 24 hours per day.

Updated: Resumption of Overnight Wet Utilities Work at Forest Hill Station January 24, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews have been completing overnight wet utility and hydro utility installation work at Forest Hill Station since September 2018; this work will continue through until mid-February 2019. 95% of all utilities relocation and installation work at Forest Hill Station have been completed.

Resuming January 24, 2019, overnight water main chamber construction will commence on Eglinton Avenue, east of Bathurst Street. Traffic in the vicinity of the work area will be reduced to one (1) lane only, alternating in each direction.  Read more »

Overnight Closure of Temporary Access Road for Utility Work

To facilitate the ongoing utility relocation at the future Kennedy Station, there will be overnight closures of the Temporary Access Road.

Work began on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 and was scheduled for approximately three (3) nights. Due to extreme cold temperatures the work was incomplete. Crews will resume sleeving out wires on the hydro lines at the temporary access road on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Read more »
