On June 10, the Crosstown Community Relations staff attended the Toronto Police Services 12 Division Community Day Festival. The Crosstown booth featured an arts and crafts station and souvenirs of the new Toronto Subway Rockets. Numerous visitors asked about the project, and staff enjoyed interacting with the kids. On Saturday May 26, 2012 Community Liaison Officers Franca Di Giovanni and Denise Jayawardene represented the Crosstown at the Upper Village BIA SpringFest, and spoke with about 200 community members throughout the day, going past the orginal end time due to great interest. When the festival wrapped up at 6:30 p.m, staff continued to answer questions while dismantling the Crosstown display. It was great to see such interest in the project. Read more »
