Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary System) cables along Eglinton avenue east between Laird drive, Leslie street, Swift drive, Sloane avenue, and Kennedy road. What Work is Taking Place?

As early as February 15, 2021, crews at Leaside Station will begin to install a temporary scaffolding system along the east wall of the Main Entrance site to provide overhead protection and delineation for the work zone. Scaffolding installation will take place within the work zone between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) days. The scaffolding system will remain in place for approximately four (4) months.
Through Summer 2021, crews at Leaside Station will continue to work extended construction hours at the station entrances and in the station box below Eglinton Avenue. Construction activities include waterproofing, placement of rebar and steel, formwork installations, mechanical electrical works, and concrete pours.
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews at Fairbank Station continue to perform large concrete pours. Crews will be pouring on Wednesday, February 10, beginning as early as 7:00am. Concrete pumps and trucks will be placed on Vaughan Road, adjacent to the Fairbank Station Main Entrance site. Vaughan Road, Dufferin Street, and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while this work takes place.
