What Work is Taking Place?
In late March 2021, crews at Oakwood Station will resume 24-hour construction Monday through Friday. On Saturday, work will take place between 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. The following activities are currently underway:
What Work is Taking Place?
On Saturday March 20, 2021 crews at Avenue Station will work overnight to facilitate structural works at the secondary entrance site. This work includes steel, rebar, and formwork installations.
As early as Monday March 22, 2021, a temporary traffic configuration change will be implemented at Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue to accommodate material hoisting, escalator delivery and crane disassembly. Laird Dr south of Eglinton Ave will be reduced to one northbound shared through-right turn lane, one northbound left turn lane and one southbound lane. The configuration will be in place for approximately one (1) month.
A mobile crane is currently being used at Mt Pleasant Station’s Main Entrance site to assist with lifting operations in and out of the station box. The crane will be stationed at the Main Entrance for approximately three (3) weeks. Crane operations will take place within the work zone only.
