What Work is Taking Place?
On Saturday March 6, 2021, crews at Avenue Station will work overnight to facilitate structural works at the main and secondary entrances. This work includes steel, rebar, and formwork installations. Construction activities will take place on a 24-hour basis. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption caused by this work.
On Saturday March 6, 2021, Berwick Avenue will be closed at Yonge Street while a concrete pour takes place at the Berwick Portal site. The concrete will form the part of the portal roof. This work will coincide with a closure of TTC’s Line 1 Subway between Finch and St. Clair Stations on March 6 and 7 2021. The Hillsdale Avenue Bridge north sidewalk and lane, located between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street, will remain open while this work takes place. Read more »

Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary System) cables along Eglinton avenue east between Laird drive, Leslie street, Swift drive, Sloane avenue, and Kennedy road. Overhead catenary is the system installed overtop of the rails of a light rail system, to provide operational power to the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles). Read more »
