Kennedy Station will be the terminal station at the eastern end of the LRT line, and will also serve as an interchange station. It will be located at Transway Crescent and Eglinton Avenue East, approximately 300 metres east of Kennedy Road.

• In preparation for station construction, crews will be clearing and grubbing in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue East and Kennedy Road for the upgrading and relocation of utilities and the widening of the Eglinton Avenue East roadway. Read more »

As you know, tunnelling continues on the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) project as we build the underground portion of the future transit line.
The tunnel boring machines (TBMs) operate around the clock - 24 hours a day, seven days week. On average, they each travel about 10 metres per day. Our TBMs are working about 20 metres below ground, but we do sometimes hear from nearby residents who may experience vibration from the TBMs as they pass through the area. Read more »
Metrolinx is making progress on the Crosstown project. Construction of a launch shaft east of Brentcliffe Road is complete and assembly of two tunnel boring machines (TBMs) is nearing completion. Utility relocation and headwall construction along Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe and Bayview started in January 2014. When it’s complete, the line will connect Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Road in the east, and will be up to 60% faster than bus service today. Read more »
The Eglinton Crosstown LRT tunnel boring machines 'Don' and 'Humber' will begin their journey westward on September 29, 2015, marking another milestone toward the completion of the new LRT.
The westbound tunnelling will start from the launch shaft located east of Brentcliffe Rd. and will proceed towards Yonge St. Work on the western segment of the tunnel has been underway since June 2013 with four of the 6.5 kilometres already complete.
