Crews will relocate and upgrade existing overhead hydro utilities between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Station in preparation for construction of the surface section dedicated transit lanes (guideway), the Kennedy Portal, and the Kennedy LRT Station. Existing overhead and underground hydro lines will be relocated from the north side of Eglinton Avenue East to the south side of Eglinton Avenue East.
What Work is Taking Place?
To accommodate the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, Enbridge Gas Distribution (Enbridge) is required to relocate a gas line on Eglinton Avenue East (between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue) and on Kennedy Road (between Treverton Drive and Eglinton Avenue East).
These pipelines are integral to Enbridge’s gas system and must be re-routed to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers in the Greater Toronto Area. Read more »

What Work is Taking Place?
As part of ongoing preparatory works, crews will begin the process of removing street furniture across the Eglinton Avenue East corridor between Brentcliffe Road and Midland Avenue. Read more »
Kennedy Station will be the terminal station at the eastern end of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line. Kennedy Station is yet another station along the LRT line to serve as a Mobility Hub, with connections to the GO Transit Stouffville Line, the TTC Scarborough RT, the TTC Bloor-Danforth subway, and the TTC bus terminal.
