What Work is Taking Place?
Beginning November 9, 2020, crews at Kennedy Station will begin construction on the new GO East platform. Excavation will take place for approximately two weeks followed by concrete works, backfill, electrical works and platform construction. Excavation will take place up to the fence line. The construction of platform will take approximately eight (8) months. Updates will be provided as work progresses

Crews will be relocating Toronto Hydro-Electric System (THESL) poles to their permanent positions along Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road. Work will be completed in sections and is expected to begin October 6 through to early November 2020. All works are in support of the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East.

What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will be installing and performing welding activities on the LRT tracks within the guideway work zone on Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Road. Work will take place October 5-9, 2020 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.

What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will continue boulevard restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview and Kennedy Road. Partial or full driveway closures will be required to perform grading works to align driveways with the new road surface on Eglinton Avenue East. On August 29 and 30, 2020, crews at Kennedy Station will drilling four (4) piles at the decommissioned GO track at Kennedy Station. Crews will be drilling, hauling and performing concrete works. Work will take place between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on both days.
Due to the nature of this work, noise and vibration can be expected at the work site. Site-based mitigation will be in place and crews will endeavor to schedule less noisy activities throughout the early morning hours.

What Work Is Taking Place?
As part of GO Transit improvements at Kennedy GO Station, the existing GO Transit platform will be temporarily closed. Pedestrians will use the new GO Transit platform located across the existing tracks as early as August 17, 2020. Read more »
