The Eglinton Crosstown is a 19 kilometre light rail transit line that will run along Eglinton Avenue through the heart of Toronto, with an underground central section. The Eglinton Crosstown is a transit project that will provide rapid and reliable service across Eglinton Avenue including an underground central section and will be up to 60% faster than bus service today.
What: Crews are relocating various utilities for the construction of the Caledonia Station headwalls. Headwalls are underground support walls located at the east and west ends of the future station location. Initial utility relocation work and installation of headwalls began in May 2013 and will continue until late spring 2014. Read more »

The Eglinton Crosstown is a light rail transit (LRT) line that will run across Eglinton Avenue between Mount Dennis (Weston Road) and Kennedy Station. This 19-kilometre corridor will include a 10-kilometre underground portion, between Keele Street and Laird Drive. It will provide a rapid and reliable service that will be up to 60% faster than bus service today, when it is completed in 2020. Read more »
These large shafts, used for the entry and removal of the tunnel boring machines, will be located within the Eglinton Avenue roadway both east and west of Allen Road. Each shaft will also have an adjacent construction site on the north side of Eglinton Avenue for various tunnelling activities.
