Scaffolding Removal and Façade Restoration Work at 223 Eglinton Avenue East - May 19, 2020

 

As early as Tuesday, May 19, 2020, crews will start to restore the building façade at 223 Eglinton Avenue East (Eglinton Junior Public School). Restoration of the façade will begin at the top of the building, with crews removing the scaffolding, as work progresses downward. The entire scaffolding structure is expected to be removed by late July 2020.

Update: Extended Construction Hours for Excavation and Tunnel Demolition at Chaplin Station May – June 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Since April 2020, crews have been working extended construction hours at Chaplin Station to complete deep excavation and tunnel demolition.  Extended construction hours will continue until tunnel demolition and deep excavation are complete in late May and mid-June 2020, respectively.  To minimize disruption, the period between 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. will be used for loading, hauling and site maintenance only.  Read more »

Concrete Pour at Cedarvale Station - Wednesday, May 13, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Wednesday, May 13, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour within the work zone south of Eglinton West subway station. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 5:30 a.m. and take approximately eight (8) hours to complete. Read more »

UPDATE:Concrete Pour at Avenue Station: May 11, 2020

What Work is Taking Place? 

As early as May 11, 2020 crews will perform a concrete pour at the main entrance of Avenue Station. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. To safely carry out the works, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance. The pour will begin at 10:00 a.m. and take approximately five (5) hours to complete.  After each pour is complete, the lane will re-open.
