What: Monitoring equipment will be installed at major intersections along Eglinton Avenue East. This equipment will measure noise and vibration that may be related to the work of our tunnel boring machines underground. These measurements will allow construction crews to adjust tunnelling activities along Eglinton Avenue East if needed.
Where: The equipment will be installed within the roadway along Eglinton Avenue East at major intersections between Mount Pleasant Road and Laird Drive. While this equipment is being installed, crews will be working within one lane of traffic with rolling lane closures to drill and install monitoring equipment. As this takes place, paid-duty police officers will be on-site.
When: The installation of the monitoring equipment will begin as early as mid-March 2015 and be completed in late spring 2015
