What work is Taking Place?
What: With utility work and secant piling installations on the south side of Eglinton complete, work will return to the north side of Eglinton at Petman. During this stage, crews will continue to relocate utilities.
Why: Construction of emergency exit buildings requires utilities to be safely relocated. Depending on site conditions, this could include moving gas, hydro, water mains, sewers, and telephone lines, traffic lights and street lighting.
When: Starting as early as mid-June, 2016, crews will occupy the roadway on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East, for approximately three months. Some work may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
Where: The work zone will extend from approximately west of Cardiff Road to east of Falcon Street and will occupy the north lanes of Eglinton Avenue East.
