What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will be working on Eglinton Avenue West in order to facilitate the construction of the new Photography Drive Bridge structure. This work will require the closure of Eglinton Avenue West from Black Creek Drive to Weston Road from 7:00 p.m. on May 18th to 5:00 a.m. on May 21st, and from 7:00 p.m. on May 25th to 5:00 a.m. on May 28th.
Hours of Work
- This work is scheduled between Friday May 18th 7:00 p.m. to Sunday May 21st 5:00 a.m., and Friday May 25th 7:00 p.m. to Sunday May 28th, 2018 5:00 a.m.
- Eglinton Avenue West will be closed from Friday May 18th 7:00 p.m. to Sunday May 21st 5:00 a.m., and Friday May 25th 7:00 p.m. to Sunday May 28th, 2018 5:00 a.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Details
- For the safety of workers, motorists, and residents, Eglinton Avenue West between Black Creek Drive and Weston Road will be closed during this work.
- Eastbound through traffic on Eglinton will be rerouted south on Weston Road and north on Black Creek to continue east on Eglinton.
- Westbound through traffic on Eglinton will be rerouted north on Black Creek via Trethewey to Jane or south on Black Creek to Weston Road to continue west on Eglinton.
- Paid off-duty officers will be used to alert motorists during the closure.
- Access to the No Frills will be maintained from Black Creek Drive. The Eglinton access to No Frills will be closed for the weekend.
What to Expect
- Every effort will be made to maintain the pedestrian sidewalk. Temporary closures of the sidewalk may be required while work is taking place overhead in the vicinity of the sidewalk.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise and feel vibrations similar to those experienced with concrete cutting.
