Overnight Closure of Oakwood Avenue South of Eglinton Avenue

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

On the night of October 22, there will be a full closure of Oakwood Avenue, just south of Eglinton Avenue W. The closure will facilitate unplanned but required work on one of the watermains. TTC and emergency vehicles will be allowed through and PDO and traffic control personnel will be deployed to support traffic during the closure.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on Eglinton will not be impacted.

TIMING

  • The closure will be over a one night period starting October 22.
  • The closure will take place between 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Residents near the work site can expect to hear trucks, excavators, backhoes, concrete trucks and other construction equipment.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near construction zones.

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • There will be no north/south access to Eglinton Avenue W from Oakwood Avenue.
  • East and westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue W will not be impacted.
  • There are no pedestrian impacts related to this work.
  • There are no TTC impacts related to this work.
