Last Updated: January 24, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the continued support of excavation works (shoring) and utility relocations for the future Kennedy Station, traffic staging at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East will be changing in October. Shoring began in April 2018 and will continue in phases at the intersection.

Preparatory work for the reconfiguration will take place as early as Saturday, January 26, 2019 starting at 8:00 AM and ending Monday, January 28, 2019 at 5 AM. Once the traffic set-up is in place, this configuration is expected to remain in place until the end of May 2019.

Hours of Work

  • Work is expected to start as early as Saturday, January 26, 2019 starting at 8 AM and ending on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 5 AM.
  • Once the new traffic set up in in place, this phase is expected to last until May 2019 with incremental improvements to traffic to follow in subsequent stages.
  • After the set up and for the period of 2 years, we will be finishing off the remaining support of excavation (SOE) in this area, then continue with the construction of the portal.
  • We may work weekends and past 5 pm or nights as may be required.
  • Support of excavation (SOE) work will be performed between the hours of 6 AM and 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect
