April 1, 2019

UPDATE: April 2, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the continued construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane), additional tree removals are required along Eglinton Avenue East for road widening activities and telecommunication utility installations. Tree removal will take place on the north and south side of Eglinton Avenue East between the CP Rail Bridge and Celestica Bridges as early as April 5th, 2019 (depicted below).

Tree protection measures will be in effect, and environmental personnel will be on site to ensure tree removal and protection is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.

All removals have been approved by the City of Toronto and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).  Upon the completion of the Crosstown LRT, new trees will be planted in place of the removed ones.
