Notice of Chipping at Chaplin Station July 4 – 5, 2020

On Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, 2020, crews at Chaplin Station will be chipping a concrete wall located below ground between the Tertiary Entrance and the station box.  Chipping is the process of using an excavator and jackhammer to remove concrete and hardened material. Chipping occurs periodically as deep excavation progresses.  Noise and vibration can be expected.

Hours of Work

  • Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, 2020 between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Work may be longer or shorter than expected, and may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
