Sidewalk Construction on Eglinton Ave, East of Sloane Avenue

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be constructing final sidewalks on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Sloane Avenue. Driveway tie-in works will also be performed at the Eglinton Ave East entrance for the condominiums at 1700, 1720 and 1730 Eglinton Avenue East. Work is expected to begin as early as November 11, 2020 and continue for approximately two weeks.

What to Expect

To safely perform these works a sidewalk closure will be implemented on the north side of Eglinton Ave E between Sloane Avenue and Jonesville Crescent. The driveway between 1720 and 1730 Eglinton Ave E will also be closed. Access will be maintained via entrances on Sloane Avenue. Construction activities include concrete removals, excavation, backfill, concrete works and final asphalt.

HOURS OF WORK

Work will begin as early as November 11, 2020 and continue for approximately two weeks.
Work may occur from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.
Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

There will be no changes to the current traffic configuration at the intersection.
Closure of Eglinton Ave E driveway for 1700,1720,1730 Eglinton Ave E.

PEDESTRIAN & TTC DETAILS

There will be a sidewalk closure on the north side of Eglinton Ave E between Sloane Ave and Jonesville Crescent.
The pedestrian walkway will be available on the south side of Eglinton Ave E between Bermondsey Road and Victoria Park Avenue.
Signage will be installed directing pedestrians to the available sidewalks.
All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
