What Work is Taking Place?

As early as August 18, 2021, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Traffic on Dufferin Street will shift to the west side of the road and construction will move to the east. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue will remain on north. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue. All turns at the intersection will remain prohibited. This traffic configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately two (2) months.

What to Expect

Traffic on Eglinton Ave W will be shifted to the west side of the road. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while the traffic changes are being implemented.

HOURS OF WORK

As early as Wednesday August 18, 2021, for approximately two (2) months.
Overnight work may be required to implement the new configuration.
Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

Traffic on Dufferin Street will shift to the west side of the road.
Traffic on Eglinton Ave W will remain on the north side of the road.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W.
All turns at the intersection will remain prohibited.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

The north-south crosswalk on the west side of Dufferin Street will reopen.
The north-south crosswalk on the east side of Dufferin Street will close.
The sidewalk on the south side of Eglinton, adjacent to the TPSS building and Primary Entrance will reopen.
