Lane Reductions for Black Creek Bridge Waterproofing Along Eglinton Avenue West

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, August 30, 2021, crews will begin waterproofing the Black Creek Bridge along Eglinton Avenue West.  To facilitate this work safely, traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, east of Black Creek Drive.  This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays for approximately ten (10) days.   

What to Expect

Noise from construction activities can be expected.  Expect delays while travelling through the area.  Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place.

Hour of Work

• As early as Monday, August 30, 2021, for approximately ten (10) working days.
• This work is expected to take place Monday - Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, east of Black Creek Drive.

Pedestrian Impacts

• Crosswalks on the north and east sides of Black Creek Drive and Eglinton will be restricted for the duration of this work.
• Crosswalks on the west side of Black Creek Drive and Eglinton will be reinstated.
• The north sidewalk between Municipal Drive and Black Creek Drive will be closed for the duration of this work.

Transit Information

• The westbound TTC bus stop located on Black Creek Bridge will temporarily be relocated 10 meters east for the duration of this work [TTC route Eglinton West 32, 32D, and 332]
