What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Friday September 10, 2021, a new pedestrian route will be implemented at Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street. The east-west crosswalk on the south side of the intersection will close, and the east-west crosswalk on north side of the intersection will reopen. This pedestrian route is expected to remain in place for approximately two (2) days. Once this stage is complete, the east and west curbs on the north side of the intersection will be complete and all crosswalks will reopen.

What to Expect

The east-west crosswalk on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street will be closed to pedestrians. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Road restoration works will take place during the crosswalk closure.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Friday September 10, 2021, for approximately two (2) days.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
• This work may be longer or shorter than expected. 

TRAFFIC DETAILS 

• No changes to the current traffic routes as a result of this work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS 

• The east-west crosswalk on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street will close.
• The east-west crosswalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street will reopen.

TRANSIT INFORMATION 

• All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
