DELAYED - Periodic Sidewalk Closure for Restoration Works at Fairbank Station - Now starting: October 12, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday October 12, 2021, crews at Fairbank Station will perform sidewalk restoration work on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West between the TPSS building and Dynevor Road.  To facilitate this work, the south sidewalk on Eglinton Avenue West will be periodically closed between the TPSS building and Dynevor Road.  Pedestrians will be rerouted south through the Dynevor-Dufferin laneway. The affected businesses and properties have been notified directly. This work is expected to take place for two (2) days between approximately 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  

 

What to Expect

Noise from construction activities, including concrete breaking and trucks, can be expected. The sidewalk will reopen upon completion of the work.

 

HOURS OF WORK 

  • As early as Tuesday October 12, 2021, for approximately two (2) days.
  • This work will take place between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected. 

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS 

  • No changes to the current traffic routes as a result of this work.

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS 

  • The sidewalk on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West will be periodically closed between the TPSS building and Dynevor Road.
  • Pedestrians will be rerouted through the Dufferin-Dynevor laneway.

 

TRANSIT INFORMATION 

  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
