UPDATE:Final Road Restoration - Eglinton Avenue East and Eglinton Square Intersection - November 3, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as 8:00 pm November 3, 2021 and continuing through 6:00 am November 4, 2021, crews will perform road restoration works at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Eglinton Square. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue. Road restoration will take place between 8:00 pm - 6:00 am. Outside of these hours, road operations will continue normally. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East. TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Restoration of eastbound lanes. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East south of the guideway will be closed between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue. Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected north, with a crossover at Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue. Eglinton Square will be closed between Eglinton Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue.
• Restoration of westbound lanes. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East north of the guideway will be closed between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue. Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected south, with a crossover at Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue. 
  • The intersection at Eglinton Square will be closed to north-south traffic for the duration of this work.

What to Expect

Driveways between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue will have restricted access for the duration of the work. Properties affected by this restriction will be contacted directly. Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.
