Sewer Bypass Removal at Hilltop Road and Eglinton Avenue West - November 23, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday November 23, 2021, crews at Forest Hill Station will begin removing the sewer bypass system at the northwest corner of Eglinton Avenue West and Hilltop Road. To perform the removal safely, traffic on Hilltop Road will be reduced to a single lane only at Eglinton Avenue West, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place. Once the removal is complete, crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue West and reopen the westbound curb lane where the sewer bypass system was installed. This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) week.

What to Expect

The traffic lane on Hilltop Road will reopen after each day of work. Traffic control personnel will be present while this work takes place. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
