What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Wednesday December 15, 2021, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hilltop Road and Bathurst Street to accommodate preparatory works for road restoration.
As part of this work, the TTC bus stop on the east side of the Eglinton-Hilltop intersection will be temporarily relocated further west (refer to map). This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately three (3) months.
What to Expect
Storage of material and equipment within the work zones will be required. Noise from construction activity, including concrete breaking and chipping, can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while the traffic changes are being implemented.
