Update: Overnight Traffic Signal and Streetlight Installations at Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West - Through early April 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at Oakwood Station will continue traffic signal and streetlight installations at the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West for approximately two (2) weeks. Rolling lane closures are required to complete this work safely. Traffic on Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place. Periodically, turns at the intersection will be restricted. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.

To mitigate delays to the travelling public, this work will take place Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. For more information, please review the complete notice.

What to Expect

Overnight noise from electrical works, including excavation and conduit installations. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

• Ongoing for approximately two (2) weeks
• This work is expected to take place overnight from Monday – Thursday between 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Traffic on Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction during this work
• Lane reductions on Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West are not expected to occur at the same time.
• The eastbound right turn from Eglinton Avenue West to Oakwood Avenue will be restricted for approximately two (2) nights of work.
• The northbound left turn from Oakwood Avenue to Eglinton Avenue West will be restricted for approximately five (5) nights of work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• All pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same
• Short-term pedestrian rerouting may be in effect

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• The TTC bus stop located at the south-west corner of the intersection will be temporarily relocated further west (refer to map).
• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
