What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday, May 12, 2022, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Traffic on Bathurst Street will shift to the east side of the road, and construction will move to the west side. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will remain on the south side of the road. The crosswalk on the west side of the Bathurst-Eglinton intersection will close and the crosswalk on the east side of the intersection will reopen. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Bathurst Steet and Eglinton Avenue West. For more information, please review the complete notice below.

What to Expect

Noise from construction activities including trucks and material loading can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection. Construction activities including concrete breaking, backfilling, paving, and compacting will take place on the west side of Bathurst Street during this traffic stage. Overnight work may be required while the traffic changes are being implemented.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Thursday, May 12, 2022
• This traffic configuration will remain in place for approximately two (2) months.
• Overnight work may be required to implement the traffic changes.
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Traffic on Bathurst Street will shift to the east side of the road and construction will move to the west side.
• Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will remain on the south side of the street.
• All turns will remain restricted at Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The crosswalk on the west side of the Bathurst-Eglinton intersection will close and the crosswalk on the east side of the intersection will reopen.
