As early as Monday, June 27, 2022, and crews will be decommissioning monitoring wells on Kennedy Road at Eglinton Avenue East. The wells served as part of the Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Program (GIMP). Some wells will require temporary lane reductions in the area. When a lane reduction is required, one lane will remain open, and two-way traffic will be controlled by traffic control personnel and/or Paid Duty Officers. Decommissioning each well will take approximately two hours; upon completion, crews will move onto the next well. Work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) day.
Crews will be using a drill rig to decommission monitoring wells from the Eglinton Crosstown construction. Occasional lane reductions may be required, depending on the location of the well. Eglinton Avenue East and adjacent streets will remain open. Property access will be maintained. Expect delays when travelling near work zones.
