Utility Works on Don Mills Road north of Eglinton Avenue East

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, July 11, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. crews will be performing utility works overnight on Don Mills Road, north of Eglinton Avenue East. To facilitate this work, southbound traffic on Don Mills Road will be reduced to one through lane between Wynford Drive and the entrance/exit to 825 Don Mills Road (Real Canadian Superstore) overnight. During the day, to secure the work zone, southbound traffic on Don Mills Road will be reduced to two through lanes between Wynford Drive and the entrance/exit to 825 Don Mills Road. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. This work is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. for approximately four (4) weeks. 

What to Expect

Work will take place overnight between approximately 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Expect delays while travelling through the area. Overnight noise from construction activities including trucks, asphalt removals, and compacting can be expected. Concrete barriers, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate the work zones. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. A Paid Duty Officer and/or traffic control personnel will be present while work takes place overnight.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Monday, July 11, 2022, for approximately four (4) weeks.
• Work is expected to take place between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
• This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
• Work may be longer or shorter than expected.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Overnight, southbound traffic on Don Mills Road will be reduced to one through lane between Wynford Drive and the entrance/exit to 825 Don Mills Road.
• During the day, southbound traffic on Don Mills Road will be reduced to two through lanes between Wynford Drive and the entrance/exit to 825 Don Mills Road.
• One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

• No changes to the current pedestrian routes as a result of this work
