What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Wednesday, July 27, 2022, crews will be decommissioning monitoring wells on Eglinton Avenue East between Sutherland Drive and Brentfliffe Road. The wells served as part of the Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Program (GIMP). Rolling lane closures are required to complete this work. Periodically, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place. A short-term road closure may also be required on Sutherland Drive and Brentcliffe Road to complete this work; alternatively, a flag-person will be present to maintain traffic movement on Sutherland Drive and Brentcliffe Road. A traffic control personnel and/or Paid Duty Officers will be present while work takes place. Decommissioning each well will take approximately two-four hours; upon completion, crews will move onto the next well. Work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) month.
What to Expect
Rolling lane closures on Eglinton Avenue East will be required to complete this work. A short-term road closure may also be required on Sutherland Drive and Brentcliffe Road to complete this work. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the area. Property access will be maintained. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
As early as Wednesday, July 27, 2022, for approximately one (1) month.
Work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
Work may be longer or shorter than expected.
