Update: Sidewalk Restoration Works at Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue - As early as July 28, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday, July 28, 2022, crews will temporarily close the crosswalk on the west side of the Oakwood-Eglinton intersection for approximately two (2) hours to accommodate ongoing sidewalk restoration works. This work is expected to start at 8:00 a.m. The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue will remain open while this work takes place.

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment including excavators, jackhammers, trucks, and hammers can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection. Advance signage will be in place for pedestrians. Access to private properties will be maintained. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Thursday, July 28, 2022, starting at 8:00 a.m. for approximately two (2) hours
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The crosswalk on the west side of the Oakwood-Eglinton intersection will be temporarily closed.

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• All TTC stops are expected to remain in their current locations.
• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
