UPDATE: Final Road Restorations - Don Mills and Eglinton

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, and continuing nightly through Monday, August 15, 2022, at 6:00 a.m., crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Don Mills Road to Gervais Drive. Work will take place nightly from 8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected with a crossover at the median opening, west of Don Mills Road and Gervais Drive. The work area will remain opened to local traffic only. Outside of these hours, road operations will continue normally. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East.

What to Expect

Driveways between the median opening, west of Don Mills Road and Gervais Drive will have restricted access for approximately two (2) hours for the duration of the work in the immediate area. Properties affected by this restriction will be contacted directly. Traffic lanes affected by the work will be open to local traffic only. Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

As early as Thursday, August 11, 2022, and continuing nightly through Monday, August 15, 2022.
Nightly from 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
This work may be rescheduled of delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
Work may be longer of shorter than expected.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

Evening of August 11:

Restoration of eastbound lanes: Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East, south of the guideway, will be closed between the median opening, west of Don Mills Road and Gervais Drive.
Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected north, with a crossover the median opening, west of Don Mills Road and Gervais Drive.
A road closure will be in effect on Don Mills Road, south of Eglinton Avenue East.

Evening of August 15:

Restoration of westbound lanes: Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East, north of the guideway, will be closed between the median opening, west of Don Mills Road and Gervais Drive.
Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected south, with a crossover at the median opening, west of Don Mills Road and Gervais Drive.
A road closure will be in effect on Don Mills Road, north of Eglinton Avenue East.
