What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Wednesday, October 5, 2022, crews will begin implementing the new Eglinton Connects streetscape and cycle track on the north side of Eglinton Avenue between Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway, and on the east side of Avenue Road north of Eglinton Avenue. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Avenue Road and 286 Eglinton Avenue West. As part of this work, the existing roadway, sidewalk, and any street furniture and trees will be removed to make way for the new Streetscape Design. For more information on the City of Toronto’s Eglinton Connects Streetscape and Cycle Track Design, visit www.toronto.ca/eglinton. Eglinton Connects will be implemented continuously between Avenue Road and Holly Street. Crews will work Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. with overnight work as required.
Occasionally, use of a hydro-vacuum truck, jackhammer and/or compaction roller will be required. Significant traffic and pedestrian changes will be in effect. Please review the complete notice or visit http://www.thecrosstown.ca/ for more information.
