Parking Restrictions on Locust Street for Overnight Rail Corridor Works - November 25 – November 28, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

From Friday, November 25 – Monday, November 28, 2022, overnight deliveries will take place at the Railway Corridor site. Locust Street will be used as a haul route to faciliate these deliveries. In order to perform the works safety, street parking on the north and south sides of Locust Street will be prohibited, while this work takes place. Property access will be maintained at all times – no impact to residential driveways on Locust Street is expected.  

Alternative parking arrangements will be provided to residents who hold on-street parking permits for Locust Street. Arrangements will be coordinated by the contractor, Crosslinx Transit Solutions - Constructors. If you have not been contacted by a member of the Crosslinx team, please contact the East Crosstown Community Office at crosstown@metrolinx.com or 416-482-7411 for information.


What to Expect

No street parking on Locust Street. Overnight noise from construction activities, including excavation, grading, and backfilling, can be expected.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Friday November 25, at 7:00 a.m. – Monday November 28, 2022, at 6:00 a.m.
  • This work will take place on a 24-hour basis.  
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Street parking on the north and south sides of Locust Street will be prohibited for the duration of this work.
  • Access to residences and driveways will be maintained.  

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.

 

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • No changes to TTC routes are expected, as a result of this work.
