Tree Removal and Protection in the vicinity of 440 Eglinton Avenue East

What work is starting?

What: Crews will be removing a tree, which is adjacent to Eglinton Avenue East in the vicinity of 440 Eglinton Avenue East.

Why:  A tree will be removed to make way for utility relocation and the construction of various structures connected with the twin tunnels for the Eglinton Crosstown. The project has obtained all appropriate permissions and permits to remove selected trees which are in conflict with the construction. Tree protection will also be installed around selected trees that are near the various construction sites.   

Where: A crew will be removing a tree adjacent to Eglinton Avenue East in the vicinity of 440 Eglinton Avenue East, on the City of Toronto right of way.  In some circumstances, a limited temporary sidewalk closure may be required for public safety.  

When: During mid/late-February, 2015, a crew will be removing a tree in the vicinity of 440 Eglinton Avenue East, at a time between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., subject to weather condition or unforeseen circumstances.
