As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will install permanent shelters at the Ionview stop north and south platform. North platform installation will begin as early as December 14, 2020 for approximately four days and south platform installation will follow for approximately three days.

What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary System) cables along Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Ionview Road. Overhead catenary is the system installed overtop of the rails of a light rail system, to provide operational power to the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles). Installation will take place overnight November 4-5, 2020 between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the ongoing works to replace the existing culvert at Massey Creek, the current traffic configuration at Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East will be extended to late December 2020. Rosemount Drive will remain closed north of Eglinton Avenue East and north-south through-traffic will be prohibited for the duration of the work.

Crews will be relocating Toronto Hydro-Electric System (THESL) poles to their permanent positions along Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road. Work will be completed in sections and is expected to begin October 6 through to early November 2020. All works are in support of the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East.

Crews will be installing and performing welding activities on the LRT tracks within the guideway work zone on Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Road. Work will take place October 5-9, 2020 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.
